기린은 아프리카가 원산지인 키가 크고 목이 긴 포유동물입니다. 현존하는 육상 동물 중 가장 키가 크며 높이는 18피트까지 자랄 수 있다. 기린은 털에 독특한 점무늬가 있고 혀는 45cm까지 자랄 수 있다. 주로 잎과 꽃, 나무의 새싹을 먹고, 긴 목을 이용해 높은 가지에 도달한다. 기린은 사회적인 동물이고 무리를 지어 살지만, 수컷은 종종 혼자입니다. 서식지 감소와 고기와 가죽 사냥 때문에 국제 자연 보전 연맹(IUCN)이 취약종으로 분류하고 있다.
