《데스노트》는 오바타 다케시가 그린 일본의 만화이다. 2003년 12월부터 2006년 5월까지 슈에이샤의 주간 소년 점프 잡지에 연재되었다. 이후 12권의 단코본으로 정리되었다.

이 이야기는 고등학생 라이트 야가미가 이름이 적혀 있는 사람을 죽일 수 있는 신비한 초자연적인 수첩을 발견하는 것을 따라간다. 라이트는 이 공책을 이용해 세상의 악을 없애기로 결심하지만, 그의 행동은 경찰과 사건을 해결하는 임무를 맡은 천재 형사 L의 관심을 끈다. 라이트가 포획을 피하고 세상을 장악하는 것을 유지하려고 노력하는 동안 두 사람은 위험한 고양이와 쥐 게임에 참여한다.

"Death Note" is a Japanese manga series written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The series was first serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine in December 2003 and ran until May 2006. It was later collected into 12 tankōbon volumes.

The story follows Light Yagami, a high school student who discovers a mysterious supernatural notebook that has the power to kill anyone whose name is written in it. Light decides to use the notebook to rid the world of evil, but his actions draw the attention of the police and a genius detective named L who is tasked with solving the case. The two engage in a dangerous cat-and-mouse game as Light tries to avoid capture and maintain his grip on the world.

"Death Note" is widely regarded as one of the best and most popular manga series of all time. It has been adapted into several anime series, live-action films, video games, and novels, and has been highly praised for its intense and suspenseful plot, complex characters, and thought-provoking themes.
