Saint Joan of Arc is a legendary French heroine and Catholic saint who played a pivotal role during the Hundred Years' War in the 15th century. Driven by divine visions, she led the French army to a landmark victory at the Siege of Orléans, which was instrumental in the coronation of Charles VII. Although she was captured by enemy forces and executed at the stake for heresy at the age of 19, she was later declared a martyr and became a patron saint of France.
